I am Scott Von Wald, the founder of Black Lab Lures. My passion for creating fishing lures was the driving force behind this venture. With a personal fishing experience spanning over four decades, I have tested every available lure in the market. However, my desire to innovate more customized color patterns and sizes inspired to start this journey.

The name Black Lab Lures, pays homage to my deep affection for Black Labrador Retrievers. I have been the proud owner of three such dogs, each of whom has accompanied me on numerous fishing trips. My present Lab, Bailey, shares my passion for these outings, particularly when I reel in a catch. The company’s name is a tribute to her.
